1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how ZHUOLI EUROPE, S.L. (“Zhuoli Europe”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit our website or contact us through it.

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD), and other applicable privacy laws.

2. Data controller

The data controller responsible for the processing described in this policy is:

3. Data we collect

We collect personal data in the following situations:

Contact form. When you submit an enquiry, we process the information you provide: full name, company (optional), email address, country (optional), product interest / ribbon grade (optional), and your message.

Technical and hosting data. Like most websites, our hosting environment may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages and timestamps in server logs, for security, troubleshooting and proper operation of the site.

Cookie and preference storage. We store your cookie preference (for example, accepting or rejecting non-essential cookies) in your browser’s local storage so that we can remember your choice.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data for the following purposes and legal bases:

Responding to enquiries and providing information about our products and services — based on steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and/or our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Operating, securing and maintaining the website — based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Remembering your cookie preferences — based on our legitimate interest in respecting your choices and complying with ePrivacy requirements (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If we introduce non-essential analytics or similar technologies in the future, we will only activate them with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.

5. How we use and store data

Contact form submissions are delivered to us by email through our own mail server (SMTP) and are handled by our team to respond to your enquiry.

We keep enquiry-related personal data only for as long as needed to handle your request and any related follow-up. Afterwards, we delete or archive the data in line with our internal retention practices and any legal obligations that may apply.

Server logs and similar technical data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security and operational purposes.

6. Recipients and processors

Personal data may be accessed by authorised members of the Zhuoli Europe team who need it to respond to you or operate the business.

We may use hosting, email and IT service providers that process data on our behalf as processors, solely to operate this website and deliver communications. These providers are required to process data only according to our instructions and applicable law.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. International transfers

We primarily process personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA).

Some technical services used to operate the website (for example, loading web fonts from Google) may involve transfers of limited technical data outside the EEA. Where such transfers occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, as applicable.

If we engage other tools that transfer personal data outside the EEA, we will ensure that suitable safeguards are in place.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential technologies required for the website to function correctly, and we store your cookie preference in local storage on your device.

Optional analytics or marketing cookies are not currently active on this website. If we introduce them later, they will only run after you give consent via the cookie banner, and you will be able to reject them.

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those fonts, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address. This is used to deliver the fonts and is not used by us for advertising profiling.

You can change or clear your stored preference by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. On a later visit, the cookie banner may appear again so you can make a new choice.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR and LOPDGDD, you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and data portability where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, contact us at info@zhuoli.eu. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will reply within the timeframes required by law.

If you believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es, or with another competent supervisory authority in your place of residence or work.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected in line with the nature of the data and the risks involved.

11. Children

This website is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
