Choosing the right ribbon formulation

Automotive component labelling is a demanding, resin-first application. Component tags, wiring harness labels and under-bonnet identification are typically printed on polyester or vinyl and need a resin ribbon to withstand heat, oil, chemicals and abrasion throughout the vehicle’s service life. For general warehouse and kanban labels printed on paper stock, a wax-resin grade can be appropriate, but we recommend confirming against your specific handling conditions.
